The unique G4S Career Centre - which has already won acclaim at the OnRec industry awards - was recognised for its ease of use and effectiveness at matching job seekers to G4S's multi-lingual and geographically disparate operations.

On the night, G4S competed with industry heavyweights and household brands such as Monster backed beknown.com and Nestle's careers app for iPad and won the coveted Best Innovation and Best Newcomer awards in a programme which received more than 17,000 nominations for over 500 recruitment websites.

Colin Minto, Head of Resourcing, G4S Plc commented: "We are delighted with these awards and to have been voted for by our job seeker audiences. We are rapidly realising our direct resourcing strategy and recruiting technology ambitions which is enabling us to drive major efficiencies into our global recruitment activities.

G4S remains as the forefront of the corporate recruitment marketplace and with more innovation planned for 2012 the forecast looks fantastic for us to continually take our strategy and the platform to a different level, which in turn dramatically reduces our advertising and recruitment spend”.

The G4S Career Centre has over 140,000 registered and active users, attracts 100,000 unique visitors each month and receives an average of 61 applications for each job posted to it.

Its integrated Facebook site has over 17,000 members with a total reach of 6 million Facebook users.
