Celebrating G4S Uganda's exceptional health and safety achievements
Nile Breweries Plant Safety First Award
The Nile Breweries Plant Safety First Award was the result of the G4S team's exceptional safety leadership and commitment in driving behavioural safety. Their approach included coaching fellow team members on safety procedures, conducting rigorous workplace inspections, enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with safety measures.
The recognition was shared with Security Officer Mbayimba Musa and the entire G4S team at Nile Breweries Jinja. For more than two decades, G4S has been a trusted partner, providing both security officer services and cutting-edge electronic security solutions to Nile Breweries.
Hima Cement — Lafarge Holcim Kasese, Namanve and TGS Plants Safety Award
A second recognition was awarded to the G4S Uganda team supporting Hima Cement. The Lafarge Holcim Kasese, Namanve and TGS Plants Safety Award acknowledged the team’s commitment to safety excellence. This achievement was the direct result of meticulous adherence to site health and safety regulations and innovative safety initiatives.
A cornerstone of the G4S approach was the strategic use of CCTV cameras for safety observations. This proactive method enabled the team to capture both positive and negative practices, fostering transparency and driving improvements. These observations are shared with the Hima executive team daily, highlighting G4S's dedication to proactive safety measures.
Moreover, G4S's impact on safety extended to an effective site entry point induction process managed by G4S officers. This process significantly bolstered safety awareness among all individuals entering the site.
We are extremely proud of our people on these two very complex manufacturing sites, both of whom are Top 10 customers, for having excelled in health and safety compliance.
