G4S plans to set up Security Sector Skill Development Council center in Gujarat

Considering terror attacks across the globe and other parameters, safety becomes key concern to all of us. Moreover, Corporate are expanding exponentially across the India wherein Gujarat has also noticed major chunk of investment in its kitty in coming years. Many conglomerates have already announced to set up their manufacturing units. This has increased the demands of private security guards.
Commenting on this Anoop Rawat, Vice President, Training at G4S India said “Security becomes major concern to all of us. Keeping the scenario in mind, there will be need of major chunk of private security guards across the sector. We have established a state of art training center in Ahmedabad with residential facilities. So far we have trained over 700 guards from here.”
Indian private security industry estimated worth over US $ 1-9 billion growing at 18 per cent between 2012- 2015. The sector companies comprises approximately 15, 000 Indian Private Security companies out of which only 20-25 % are in organized sector. Currently there are over 7.5 million private security guards across the country. These numbers indicate the size and potential of the sector.
