Business world holds building urban India the smart way conclave 2015
The Conclave brought up various issues related to urbanization, building sustainable and cost effective mass transport system for cities. It also highlighted the importance of public-private partnership in streamlining fast-paced urban-environment. The conclave spoke about urban aspirations and looked at how best we can transform ideas to infrastructure. It brought the best minds from planning, transportation, housing, 'smart city' technology and civic infrastructure on one platform.
Mr. Ashok Bajpai, MD of international security firm G4S,has been quoted in the story as saying “Good governance in the coming smart cities must aim at cutting down on expensive but in-efficient government staff. Giving the example of the western societies, Bajpai said: GS4 as a private security firm today runs prisons and police operations in several world cities. There is no reason why we can’t replicate it in India.”
