G4S Advocates Public Private Partnership Route For a Secure India at ASSOCHAM's 5th International Conference - Homeland Security

The 5th International Conference on Homeland Security - 'Industry's role in National Security' was organized by ASSOCHAM on August 16th and 17th in New Delhi. Hon'ble Minister of State for Home Affairs Government of India, Mr. Hansraj Gangaram Ahir was the chief guest of the event.

 

During the discussion on public and private security partnership, Mr. Ashok Bajpai, Managing Director, G4S said, "We are in alignment with the Governments' vision for the private security sector and strongly believe that we have a common purpose of securing the country, for which public and private security partnership is very important. The dialogue around security solutions in the country should focus not just on terrorist attacks but should include everyday security concerns of common man and security of our critical infrastructure. G4S as a company is contributing towards providing comprehensive security solutions and looks forward to successful public private partnership with the government". "On the global front, G4S provides the first round of security to the Pentagon. We also secure some of the high-risk airports and critical infrastructure across the world. We understand the importance of Public Private Partnership (PPP) especially in areas as important as safety and security. Therefore, it is indeed possible to have this Public Private Partnership towards homeland security," he added.
