Securing our communities

Different countries across the world face different challenges to their societies and social wellbeing. With operations in more than 110 countries, we are very aware of the many worthy causes and projects which deserve our support.

Our general strategy is for our business units to support local programmes and charities which reflect the issues faced by their local communities. Therefore, G4S provides funding, volunteers and services to a broad range of organisations in the communities in which our employees live and work.

As well as directly benefiting the communities concerned, this action improves our engagement with our staff and deepens our relationships with our customers.

The majority of our local programmes focus on the health, education, welfare and support of children and young people, although some G4S businesses focus on the elderly, the poor and other disadvantaged or vulnerable groups.
