G4S thanked for runaway success at Newham Jobs Fair

Local MP Stephen Timms has thanked G4S, the UK’s leading provider of security solutions, for its support at the Newham Jobs Fair last week held in Upton Park, home of West Ham United Football Club. The MP has heralded the event on Thursday as a “runaway success”.
G4S, jobs

The Jobs Fair is an initiative organised by Mr Timms, MP for East Ham, and Lyn Brown, MP for West Ham, with the aim of introducing jobseekers to potential employers, helping them apply for roles and aiding them in accessing careers advice. G4S Secure Solutions was represented at the packed event by Operations Manager Jonny Rose and Recruitment Manager Julie Luckett (pictured).

G4S is a major local employer in the Newham area, providing jobs for over 500 people. Johnny and Julie chatted with hundreds of eager jobseekers about security jobs in G4S and took applications for a prestigious new contract.

Thanking G4S for its support on the day Mr Timms said: "I am delighted to extend my thanks to G4S Secure Solutions for its support at the Newham Jobs Fair in my constituency. I know many of the attendees found their stall very informative. The event was a runaway success and as a major local employer G4S' continued support is much appreciated."

Johnny Rose added: “It is really great to chat with the jobseekers, and to be back in Newham where we employ so many local people. At G4S we value our people and always look to recruit the best. Supporting events like the Newham Jobs Fair is an important part of that process. We look forward to more events like this in future, helping to promote jobs in security and getting people back into work.”
