G4S FM will provide cleaning services at 41 sites in Bedford, Luton and surrounding areas, plus catering services to ten inpatient units, introducing housekeeping on wards to relieve pressure on nursing staff. Additional services include grounds and garden maintenance, pest control, portering and courier services, as well as patrol and response and building opening and closing security services.    

The contract starts on Friday 1st July 2016, with a three-month transition period to embed all services.  Up to 80 members of staff are expected to TUPE across from incumbent suppliers.

Bedfordshire and Luton Mental Health and Wellbeing Services support the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), managing health centres and outpatient clinics across the county.  G4S FM already provides facilities management services to the Trust at its John Howard Centre, The Lodge and Wolfson House properties.
