Response to asylum accommodation contract announcement

G4S's response following the award of the new asylum accommodation contracts by the Home Office
Asylum seekers

Following the announcement by the Home Office in relation to the awards of the new Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contracts (AASC) for the Midlands and the East of England (MEE) and AASC2 for the North East, Yorkshire and Humberside area (NEYH), G4S Managing Director for COMPASS, Gordon Brockington, said:

"Our existing asylum seeker accommodation contracts will end in August 2019 and we remain committed to delivering them to a high standard until the new service providers assume the contracts later this year.

“The safety of those in our care is a priority for all our team, who will ensure a smooth transition over the next eight months.”
