G4S Edinburgh Team Provide Christmas Meals to the Homeless

The G4S Regional Guarding management team in Edinburgh visited the Bethany Christian Trust Homeless Hub to see at first hand the fantastic work being undertaken by the City of Edinburgh Council and Bethany Christian Trust, to provide high quality personalised support to homeless and vulnerable people giving relief in times of crisis and enabling them to flourish in their local community.

"Facing such difficult circumstances would be unimaginable at any time of the year, however it is especially challenging at Christmas" said Graeme Naysmith, SDM Edinburgh. "Our employees assisting the Trust are in awe of their staff's dedication, passion and commitment to helping others and we wanted to do something to support the excellent work done by them and their agency partners".

Brian Newlands, Regional Manager Scotland commented "Following the visit, we agreed to make a significant donation to help provide meals to some vulnerable people on Christmas Day. Of all the gifts our employees in Scotland gave this festive season, none were as well received, appreciated and needed, as our donation to the Trust.”

Emily Millar, Bethany Christian Trust stated " Here at the Welcome Centre we have up to 200 people staying in the Hub in Emergency and Temporary accommodation. This generous donation made a big difference. The donation allowed us to provide a high quality meal catered from a local restaurant, with all the extras available to all everyone who is staying. A big thank you from all at the Welcome Centre "
