Homeland Security 2015
New Delhi, India, April 13, 2015: The 4th National Conference on Homeland Security – A Safe City: Architecture for India was organized by ASSOCHAM on April 13, 2015. The conference was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Shri Kiren Rijiju.
During the discussion on Public Private Partnership in Safe Cities, Mr. Ashok Bajpai, Managing Director, G4S said, “I compliment ASSOCHAM on organizing such a well-conceptualized event which highlights the need for security in today’s world. For India to remain an attractive investment destination, we need to ensure a safe and secure environment for the industry and the people. India does have its security challenges like any other nation in the world and discussions like this today enable us to understand the specific items on which we have to work on.
He added, “G4S has always been in the forefront to provide comprehensive security solutions. For G4S, security includes every facet including individuals, infrastructure and valuable resources. On the global front, G4S provides the first round of security to the Pentagon. We also secure some of the high-risk airports across the world including Baghdad and Kabul. We work in close ties with the government to secure prisons in UK and Australia. We understand the importance of Public Private Partnership especially in areas as important as safety and security. Therefore, it is indeed possible to have this Public Private Partnership towards building safe cities.”
