Our skilled and trained workforce of Court Security Officers champion a human approach and service excellence when addressing the needs of all daily court users. Their primary duties are to provide critical on-site security assurances by detecting and removing prohibited items from entering courts and tribunals, de-escalating potential incidents, and escorting vulnerable family violence attendees.

Court environments are continually evolving. Our significant experience working across the broader justice system provides strong insights into the complex requirements needed to support the Government’s work in key areas. We consider intelligence, risk management and mitigation strategies to recognise and prevent incidents. Our solutions-based approach means we’re able to adapt our service provision to client needs, advise on specific security requirements and create security plans which enable a safe and efficient court security service.

Examples of the services our security teams provide include:

  • Asset protection – including out-of-hours building security
  • Domestic and family violence security
  • Access control and security screening
  • Control room monitoring
  • In-court custody management
  • Escorting
  • Incident management
  • Security awareness and emergency management training

G4S is committed to ending Domestic and Family Violence and continues to work with court authorities, Government agencies and NGOs, sharing knowledge that can inform tangible security solutions.

We value the strength of our relationships with customers, the judiciary, and other agencies that interact regularly with the courts. From emergency services to family violence and community groups, our extensive knowledge and capability is trusted to help protect society and keep people safe.
