This weekend, our company G4S Secure Solutions gave its contribution to the charity event "Tree for Belgrade" organized in the cooperation of the British Embassy in Serbia and the City of Belgrade.
G4S in action: Trees for a healthier and greener Belgrade
Together with eleven other British companies, a total of 189 seedlings of conifers and deciduous trees were donated for a healthier future. The trees were planted near the right bank of the Sava river on the International Forest Day. Being aware of its importance, G4S joined this project hoping to draw attention to environmental issues and make the city healthier for ourselves and future generations.
G4S was represented by Managing Director Dawid Sold and Bojana Vesić Antić, HR Director.
"We had the honor, among other British companies, to participate in this wonderful project of making our beautiful Belgrade greener. We donated 25 seedlings and planted them with people from Zelenilo. About 40 people from different companies gathered and the event was also attended by British Ambassador to Serbia Sian MacLeod, Director of the British Serbian Chamber of Commerce Richard Robinson and the Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojičić, making the event very solemn. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were not as great and we were all in the mud, but that is not a problem when planting is in the process", Bojana told us with a smile.
