Bhubesi Pride

Bhubesi Pride

The Bhubesi Pride Foundation (BPF) assembles qualified and dedicated teams of volunteers (‘Pride’ members) to carry out annual coaching expeditions, supporting rugby and community development in schools and community centres in nine countries across east and southern Africa.

G4S is a lead partner and works with BPF in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa.  The BPF objectives are as follows:

UNITE communities through rugby, promoting the sport’s values and life skills
EMPOWER and up-skill local staff, nurturing community leaders, male and female, maximising sustainability
INSPIRE long-term developmental outcomes through tangible legacy projects, alongside in-country partners

We believe that sport inspires Africa’s youth. It teaches discipline, camaraderie and teamwork. It is a great tool to bring young people together, address key educational messages and promotes leadership.

In South Africa, coaching weeks take place in Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth each year and continue to gain momentum.
