Care before you share

The use of social networks by staff can be risky for the company: information leaks - often unintentional - are frequent.
Social media

Social networks offer companies a unique opportunity to connect with their customers, promote their products and services and boost their brand’s image. But their use by staff can be risky: information leaks - often unintentional - are frequent.

Social networks have become essential tools in professional life. They are used to communicate, collaborate, recruit and promote a company. However, the use of social networks by staff can involve risks. Disclosure - often unintentional - of sensitive information, such as their habits and location in real time, dissemination of false information or even the risk of hacking into their accounts are very real dangers for companies.

Our security tips

Whether you use the networks for personal purposes or to share messages about your company:

  • Always act with integrity and take your company’s guidelines into account.
  • Make sure that you do not divulge any sensitive or confidential information, either in the content or in the visuals you share.
  • Check that your message does not risk damaging your company’s image.
  • Only share content that has been authorised or published by your company, whether via an ambassador programme or by sharing posts that have already been published.

Raise awareness among your staff so they adopt safe behaviour
and contribute to the security of your company!

These days, physical security measures are no longer enough to effectively protect your business. Criminals, including cybercriminals are becoming increasingly creative and will not hesitate to trick your employees! So good habits can have a real impact on your company’s security. That’s what our Security Awareness campaign is all about, focusing on ten different themes.
