G4S Technology, a leading provider of building security systems, was proud to be the primary sponsor at the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) NHS Foundation Trust – Long Service & Excellence Awards, at the Chateau Impney Hotel, 14 March 2013.

Since 2010, G4S Technology has been working closely with the WMAS to install security systems as part of their ‘Make Ready’ programme.  These new ambulance ‘Hubs’, which are being opened across the region, are fully equipped with the very latest in electronic security solutions that have been exclusively designed by G4S Technology.

Anthony Marsh, Chief Executive Officer, WMAS NHS Foundation Trust, said;

The event is one of the highlights in the Trust’s calendar. It celebrates the exceptional skills and dedication of the staff, without who it would not be possible for the Trust to provide such a high standard of service to patients.

During the ceremony over forty members of WMAS employees were honoured for long and meritorious service.  There were also awards commending members of the public and staff in other emergency services who have demonstrated their very best endeavours in treating and caring for patients.

The 30 Year Long Service Award was presented by Kevin Anderson, Head of Marketing, G4S Technology. He added;

“The work of the WMAS is absolutely vital and we were honoured to sponsor this event which recognises some of the heroic achievements of people in the emergency services.”
