More than 500 youngsters from local schools visited The Crystal in Docklands during Climate Week, where members of the G4S security team hosted a number of activities and workshops. Activities included a sustainability-based scavenger hunt, environmentally friendly games of Twister and giant snakes and ladders and workshops held in a life-size model of an eco-friendly train.

“It went really well – the children had a lot of fun and also learned a lot about the environment,” said Receptionist Rachel McVeagh. “We were showing them what they could do to be more eco-friendly at home and at school – such as making sure to turn off lights and taps that aren’t being used – and they understood.” She added: “Hopefully we’ll get the chance to run more activities like this in the future.”
