G4S Integrated Services has announced that it will be changing its name to G4S Facilities Management (UK) Limited, as part of a move designed to reflect its increasing presence in the UK FM market.
G4S renames its facilities management business and announces new MD
The company, part of G4S plc, the leading global integrated security company, has also announced the appointment of Kim Challis as Regional Managing Director.
Challis, who has been with G4S for over 16 years, will be responsible for all FM operations across the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. She previously held a number of senior roles in the business with key expertise in business process outsourcing, business and product development and technology.
G4S Facilities Management has an annual turnover of around £300 million and provides a range of total facilities management services, including cleaning, catering, security, hard FM and service desk services.
The company operates across a wide range of industries such as the commercial sector, healthcare, education and central government.
Challis said: “The name change will ensure that G4S’ services are more clearly defined. Facilities Management is now a core part of G4S’ Group strategy and our focus is on delivering excellent customer service, supported by innovative solutions which deliver real benefits back to our customers.”
G4S Facilities Management currently employs over 6,400 staff, providing hard and soft FM services, and has already signed six new contracts in 2014. The new name is only a change in the name of the legal entity registered at Companies House and has no impact on G4S’ existing contractual obligations.
