The Scottish Government has awarded a 5-year multi-million pound contract to G4S, to provide electronic monitoring (EM) services across Scotland.

The technology provided by G4S will enable curfew monitoring at fixed locations for defined periods and continuous tracking using GPS products.

G4S will also operate the monitoring centre using its own software, and provide the field services required to install, decommission and support the technology in use across the country.

This contract will allow us to build upon our work from the past seven years with the Scottish Government, through a high quality service that supports public protection and safer communities across the country.
Angela SMith, G4S Service Director
This key win reinforces our position as a global market leader in electronic monitoring. Our continued work with the Scottish Government will allow us to introduce our latest developments in technology which will further enhance capabilities available to criminal justice agencies in Scotland.
