G4S Bahrain Security Officer, Mr. Mohammad “Abu” Saleh was awarded as “Employee of the Month for July 2014” in recognition of his hard work and dedication to his job.

G4S Middle East Regional Managing Director Mr. Chris Fergus presented the certificate and cash gift to Mr. Abu during his visit in Bahrain on 24th August 2014. G4S Bahrain management and office staff were also present during the award ceremony to congratulate Mr. Abu.
Mr. Abu has been working for G4S Bahrain since November 2006 and is currently deployed at APM Terminals located in Khalifa Bin Salman Port - Hidd, Bahrain.
Incident details (Factor why he was chosen as EOM):
On 10th July 2014, Mr. Abu stopped a truck and asked the co-passenger to come out of the vehicle but the co-passenger became angry and started verbally abusing him. The angry co-passenger came out of the vehicle and hit Mr. Abu with a hard hat which broke his eye glasses. He managed to keep himself composed and the matter was resolved at the Police Station later on with the culprit paying for the damaged eye glasses. APM management has blacklisted the culprits and will not be allowed to come to the port again.
