OSL’s choice of G4S as their supplier of security solutions was confirmed in a board meeting in Avinor yesterday. The contract, which has a value of £20m-£25m per year, commences on 1st March 2008 and is valid for three years with an option to extend the term for two more years. The contract was won under competitive bid and G4S was chosen as the preferred supplier based on quality and the ability to deliver.

”We are very pleased with our decision of choosing G4S as our new supplier of security at OSL. The decision is based on an overall evaluation of quality and price. We are also very delighted that all employees in Adecco, which today holds the contract, will be offered a job in the new company,” says managing director at Oslo Airport, Nic Nilsen.

Country Manager in G4S, Vidar Berg, is very satisfied that G4S was awarded this contract:

”We are very proud to be awarded this contract against strong competition with other security companies. As the world’s leading security solutions company with similar contracts at other international airports, I feel confident that we will take good care of the interests of OSL and the security of the passengers in the best way possible.”
