G4S UAE Wins Dubai Airport Contract
G4S United Arab Emirates is pleased to announce that they will be working in partnership with Dubai Airports, one of the world’s busiest and largest airports in passenger numbers. The contract which will run until December 2012, will provide passengers with the very best in customer service.
The Middle East’s aviation hub, Dubai International, currently the 4th busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic, handled a record 47.2 million passengers in 2010 and this is set to increase in 2011 with an already estimated 8.8% year to date increase on 2010.
With Dubai Airports on course to top 51 million passengers in 2011 this customer service initiative will see G4S “May I Help You?” staff assisting passengers with a variety requirements that come with international air travel, such as flight, hotel, general information and assistance.
Commenting on the service project at the airport, Ahmed Al Shamali; Head of Operations Planning stated “Acquiring a service partner that understands the demand of an ever growing international airport & comprehensively meets the high standard of Aviation Security was key elements that Dubai Airports mutually establish this new partnership with G4S.”
He added “the exposure that G4S has to other international Airports & their current global & local influence on the aviation industry for providing the manpower force were taken into consideration as key benefit of experience exchange & future growth by both parties.”

May 15th, 2011 saw G4S “May I Help You?’’ staff begin their journey through a specially designed 5 day training programme encompassing all aspects of Dubai Airports including safety, security and customer service standards. A phased 6 month deployment plan is underway which once complete will see more than 500 G4S staff operating at Dubai International Airport.
