How bringing his “best effort to the table” has seen Arno Hofbauer promoted to Operations Manager
His hard work and dedication to helping his colleagues and keeping people safe has now seen him achieve his second promotion with the company, being promoted to Operations Manager.
The security industry was not a sector Arno had considered working in before joining G4S. His previous experience was gained in the commercial sector and when he joined G4S in 2014, he initially worked full time through a partner company on various sites to help out where support was needed.
In 2015 G4S recruited Arno full-time as a security officer.
One year later he was promoted to a joint Security Supervisor and Assistant Operations Manager role. Here he enhanced his managerial skills, supporting the Operations Manager to supervise over 300 employees across various sites, including hospitals. He also supported new recruits by training them and organised the rotas.
After six years in this dual-functioning role, Arno was made a full-time Operations Manager in November 2022. He is now responsible for the management of over 100 security supervisors and their direct reports working on contracts for around 20 different customers.
Arno said: “I am thrilled about my achievements and the recognition I have received from my superiors and colleagues. It was not an easy road, but my hard work and persistence paid off in the end. I truly believe that if you give your best, others will be more willing to give back to you in return. This 'give and take' mentality has helped me to build positive relationships and achieve success in both my personal and professional life.
