Group 4 Securicor, the international security solutions group, announces that it has entered into exclusive, non-binding negotiations with Facilicom Services Group for the sale to Facilicom of the manned security business of Falck Security B.V.

The negotiations will take into account advice to be received from the Works Councils of both Falck Security and Facilicom and the eventual sale of the business would be subject to the approval of both the Dutch Competition Authority Nederlandse Mededingingsautoriteit and the European Commission.
The proposed disposal reflects an undertaking given to the European Commission by Securicor plc and Group 4 Falck A/S that this business would be divested as a condition of receipt from the Commission of approval for the merger in 2004 of Securicor and Group 4 Falck.
Facilicom Services Group is an independent facility services group based in The Netherlands, but also with interests in France, Belgium and the UK. As part of its portfolio of businesses within The Netherlands (including cleaning, catering and facilities management), Facilicom has an existing presence in the Dutch manned security and surveillance market through its subsidiary, PreNed Beveiliging.
